™ sign instead of the Euro symbol
New keyboard is set to English - I want to type a EUR symbol - I can't. How can I change it?
iMac 27", macOS 10.14

Option/ alt key and 2 = €
Shift, Option/alt key and 2 = ™
Go to system preferences/keyboard/input sources and make sure you have only ONE item on the list, and that the name of this item is "British" (NOT "British PC"). Then € will be at Option 2.
If you prefer "US" or "ABC", then € will be at Option Shift 2.
