My left AirPod pro doesn’t charge - how to fix?

Every time I open my case after charging for hours, the right AirPod pro is fully charged but the left has almost no charge. I then have to wait for the left to charge. I don’t know if this is a software issue, where it can’t tell it’s charged, or a problem with the headphone. Really frustrating because it makes them useless and defeats the purpose of a $200 easy to use headphone.

any fixes, or just need to get it replaced?

Greetings, Mjc244.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. I understand that your left AirPod is not charging as expected. I can see how this would be frustrating, and I’d like to lend a hand.

First, I suggest trying to charge your AirPods another way: Charge your AirPods and learn about battery life

For example, if you charge them wirelessly, try charing them with a cable. If you already use a cable, test another cable or charge them wirelessly.

If the issue persists, clean them and try to charge them again: How to clean your AirPods and EarPods

After cleaning them, if the left AirPod still isn’t charging, Contact Apple Support.

Best wishes.
