Return it and Reguest a New Card:

Perhaps the transaction did not go through? If purchased from a retailer, gas station, or the like, take it back to the seller and request a refund and get a new card. This time, for assuredness of it going through, add it to your account right-then-and-there at the cash register -- right after the transaction goes through.
