Logic X - all plugins show red exclamation points

Hi guys,

fired up Logic today and was hit by every single plugin covered in red exclamation points and no playback.

Have seen a previous post(s) regarding a solution which involves ticking the core audio box within audio preferences but this does not work for me and it's already checked.

The only way I can get these plugins to load is to deselect my external audio interface and select 'inbuild audio' as input/output and hit apply.

I really need to be using my external soundcard for this so that's not a workable solution for me.

Any fixes for this?

Mac Pro, macOS 10.13

Just to add that it is not enough to only validate that the Core Audio box is checked. The right procedure is: Uncheck > Apply > Check > Apply.

Just to add that it is not enough to only validate that the Core Audio box is checked. The right procedure is: Uncheck > Apply > Check > Apply.

Thanks everyone! It came right after multiple computer restarts in the end, although not a very elegant fix I know.

I'll be looking for an update for my focusrite though in case this happens again as certainly sounds like a soundcard issue.

I think core audio has become disabled in Logic's Preferences/Audio, laamusic has it right, its related to Logic being unable to sync to an audio clock.
