GPU memory almost at 100% all the time

Hi, I have an MacBook Pro 16" 2019. The GPU is a Radeon Pro 5300M with 4GB of GDDR6 memory. When I run iStatMenu I see, that the memory is almost at 100 % all the time, even when I am just using Safari. I am however connected to an external display, can that be the reason, and of not;

Is macOS not clearing the GPU memory or why is memory usage always so high?

I would not worry about this unless you see a problem with performance.

macOS tries to optimize the use of RAM - and, I presume, VRAM.

It may be keeping stuff in VRAM after use for, well.. reuse if the case happens.

Just so long as the VRAM is released for other use when needed, it is fine.
