iphone typing on its own

my iphone X is typing on its own and switching apps on its own. It is fully updated on its software. I have turned it off and on several times.

That's symptomatic of a failing touchscreen.

Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of your local Apple Store.

The display will most likely have to be replaced.
