my daughter’s phone was stolen and we noticed someone trying to get into her appleID. How do I protect her account and our information.

However.. the iPhone we never saw a trace off or could "wipe" it remotely. Question: Is the data, her keychains, her login still available to the thief? Or, did this data, her contacts, here website logins get wiped, when the thief could no longer use her appleID?

Do you have 2FA (two-factor authentication) enabled? You should do that now if you haven't already. You should also change your password at https://appleid.apple.com.
