How can I change .my old Apple ID to my new email address?

I created an Apple ID about 15 years ago. I still have a small amount of money I can use for ITunes. However, I haven't used that email address for about 8 years. How can I change my Apple ID to my new email address, preferably keeping my ITunes money?
