BridgeOS causing kernel panic in MacBook Pro 2019 16" (Catalina 10.15.2)

A few weeks into my brand new MacBook Pro 2019 16" (Catalina 10.15.2) I had a first kernel panic. Eventually I discovered panic-full-2020-01-22-175916.3082.ips in /Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports/ProxiedDevice-Bridge/Retired. Relevant parts include

I hope this is not an intrinsic flaw, as the one with the discrete graphics card in my MacBook Pro mid 2010, which I had to abandon for that reason.

Contact Apple Support directly using the link at the top right of this page. There are numerous threads on these forums about this issue and from what I've seen this will need to be resolved by Apple since it is most likely either a macOS issue, a firmware issue, or a hardware issue. I believe one of the suggestions in another thread was to disable sleep mode on the laptop (or display sleep).
