GarageBand

When I'm using the musical keyboard, certain notes do not play at the same time. Sometimes the notes that refuse to play at the same time change, so at times I can't pinpoint which specific notes it is that won't cooperate with each other. When I try to play them together, it will either play one of them, or none of them. Can anyone tell me what is causing this and/or how can I fix it?

midi tracks off by a semitone I have GarageBand 10.3.1. When I started my project, I set the key at the top to e flat major (the key of the song). I recorded vocal, guitar tracks separately though a microphone. I added an electric piano through an instrument cable (i.e. non-midi). I then added a bunch of midi tracks with an external midi keyboard. I realized after listening they sounded bad and realized the notes were one semitone flat. If I change the song's key up to E major the midi now is correct but the guitar and vocals have now been moved up a semitone. Strangely, the non-midi piano sounds fine...it didn't change anything...I would have thought it would move that up a semitone like the vocals and guitar. How do I set all the midi tracks to have the correct notes while leaving the other tracks unaffected?

GarageBand automatically adding notes in Piano Roll. How to turn off? Whenever I create a drum note in Piano Roll, it automatically duplicates that same note throughout the rest of the measures in that region. This is annoying. How do I turn this off? (The notes I actually create are fully colored. The notes that are automatically added are faded.)

Is there a way to get GarageBand to play mid-note I'm working on a track that has 5 layered synth drones running constantly underneath. The track is about 12 minutes long, but in order to hear any section of it, I have to play it from the start and wait as the drones won't play if I start the playhead after the note has started. Is there any way around this?

Greetings,

Some of the synth settings are monophonic, meaning they only play one note at a time. I'm not sure how to tell if the specific patch is mono or polyphonic. This could be the reason for this behavior.
