This is about my mac book pro: safari will not connect to apple.com: error 404 and wants a secure server when i search for apple.com. This was discovered when trying to get into Itunes store etc
You could try a different browser. I once had your problem. It went away when I upgraded to a newer system having a newer version of Safari.
Firefox works as browser but iTunes still doesn’t connect to Apple store

my macbook pro laptop cannot connect to apple.com
