After being continually asked for my nieces password?? for my ID I can't find any help yet. Sometimes I can sign in using my ID passwords and other times it wont accept this same password?? So two problems.

You might have apps installed from multiple Apple IDs.
Apps and app updates are tied to the Apple ID that acquired the app.
Which means using that Apple ID for updates, or deleting and re-acquiring the apps involved.
Maybe check with your niece for any insight or information available there?
Thanks for this suggestion. I've only ever had one Apple ID, however I will check with my niece. She gave me an old phone of hers once, which is in the house but I've never used it. Would that somehow be picking up her details?
It shouldn't be picking up her details if you have never used the phone. Is this happening on a device or a computer? You can check the updates in the App Store/iTunes against your purchase history to see if there are updates that are for apps/applications that weren't installed using your ID.
