backup documents to iCloud
Hi there, theres no option to back up my documents and files to my iCloud on my Macbook. Thats the only reason I turned it on.

Make sure your computer is completely up to date, first.

iCloud is not meant as a backup solution, rather it is a syncing service to keep certain files up to date across all your devices. For a complete backup solution use Time Machine or a cloning software like SuperDuper! or CarbonCopy Cloner.
I use Dropbox Plus for simple backup tasks. iCloud tends to complicate things IMO.
