All settings are correct but when a call comes in the phone rings loud enough for me to hear it but after a couple of rings the ring gets very low and hard to hear. If all settings are correct why does this happen and is there a way for me to change that?

that feature is by design, when the phone "recognizes" that you are looking at it. But you can stop that behavior going to: Settings>Accessibility>Face ID & Attention... and turn off Attention Aware Features
