Can connect my watch to my phone

Mi i phone Watch says Wrong password open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone go to password in tap enable password entry to try again but the watch app on my iphone doesn’t show my watch how can I redet my password if I can’t get through that message on the watch

Apple Watch keeps unpairing during initial set up I just purchased a new Apple watch series 8 and began to pair it with my iPhone 12. I got past where it is paired and I tell it which wrist I wear the watch on, and it began doing something else that would take a few minutes and then it starts to unpair.
