Opening email links

I notice this question has never been answered. If we are to use an iPad Pro like a surface or small laptop replacement, we need to know how to open an email link to a full screen. It defaults to Safari and you still cannot get it to go to full screen. There is no bar to grab to resize. You can move it to the other side of the screen, but you cannot open to full screen. Seems like a bug in iOS, but someone either needs to address it or answer the question of how to resolve. It’s a major problem.
