Clean install Catalina on MacBook Pro with existing Boot Camp

I'm planning to do a clean install of Catalina on my MacBook Pro (2018) to replace Mojave. On the same SSD, I have a boot camp Partition holding Windows 10.

If I follow the steps here (https://blog.macsales.com/51838-how-to-clean-install-macos-catalina/), will the boot camp partition be erased as well?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Is there a specific reason, you want to Clean Install Catalina?

The linked article has

The two methods are similar, though the first, installing on a startup drive, requires a number of extra steps including creating a bootable installer and erasing all data from the startup drive.

Is this what you plan to do? If yes, you can erase only Macintosh HD, but Catalina and Mojave have a different APFS volume layouts. This process also manipulates the EFI (ESP) partition, which can cause issues with Bootcamp.

Thanks Loner.

During the recent months I experienced sudden reboot of the MBP for a few (probably less than five) times. Also, for a couple of times the screen turned black and then came back normal after several seconds. I don't know whether a clean install would bring improvements; just think that it would be "cleaner".

Yes, that's what I plan to do. So, it seems that a clean install can screw up the boot camp and an upgrade is safer?

If I take the upgrade route, with the current Catalina release, will there likely be issues?
