I have done multiple software upgrades over the years. I don’t believe any of these have hardware alterations but I’m not an Apple engineer.

• The Keyboard/TrackPad/Mouse drivers are under the Apple folder, and can be individually installed.

• For Audio, both the Cirrus and RealTek drivers are available.
• For nVidia, use the 341.98 drivers.
• If you need the Bootcamp diamond icon, use Bootcamp.msi.
• Choose 64-bit or 32-bit as appropriate.

Create a Windows System Restore point. See https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4027538/windows-create-a-system-restore-point for reference.

Do you get an error message, if you try a Restore from a restore point?
