iMac: Has anyone else noticed that even when set to max speed, the wireless magic mouse in Calatina scrolls up-down about 2-3 times more slowly than it did with Mojave? Apple care traced it to software issue but has no solution.

Boot into Safe Mode (Use Safe Mode to isoloate issues with your Mac), set the speed on the mouse and see if the problem persists. Reboot normally and test again.
NOTE: Safe Mode boot can take up to 10 minutes as it's doing some system cache cleaning, volume verifying and directory repairing.

dialabrain: I was afraid of that. Are you by any chance able to do a side-by-side comparison? I might not have noticed it if I didn't do a lot of up-down scrolling on very long pages. I still have a Mojove imac, and there's no question a big difference. Perhaps I have to reinstall Catalina.

No. All my Macs are running Catalina and I don't have two identically configured Macs with the same software installed.
Not on any of the Macs I have Catalina installed on. Five at last count.
