I have a old Macbook unibody 2008, with System version : Mac OS X 10.6.8(10K549) Kernel version: Darwin 10.8.0 i want to upgrade ram to 8g and memory to 1terrabite, will it work for it and also whats the best Mac Os to upgrade to that will function
IF that is the Aluminum MacBook 13-inch model and NOT the white poly unibody,
the last Mac OS X the unit can use would be El Capitan 10.11.6. An installer should
still be available ~ and new contorted instructions that seem to work, if persistent.

Note detailed instructions on using 'Installer' package, this downloads the Installer.
(There may be much older updates to Snow Leopard 10.6.8 available to install first
should your old system have issue with accessing the main download installer site.)
