Cannot add music to library, error 9,039

So here we are in year 2020 and I have been getting the error 9,039 message for what seems like forever. I honestly can't remember the last time it worked...


On my Mac, in Apple Music, when I try to add ANY song to my library, I get an "adding to library error 9,039" and am unable to add the song. I have to use my iPhone to add the song to my library, which works perfectly, but never on the Mac.


I've signed in to Apple Music, signed out, rebooted, created another library, all the fixes ad nauseum, and this feature never ever works on my Mac. What about it Apple? Anyone?

I hear that you're seeing an error while trying to add music to your library. I'd be happy to help out.


Let's try signing out of iTunes first:


Account > Sign-out and sign out of iTunes.

Quit iTunes and reopen iTunes.

Sign back in using Account > Sign in.
