White circles on back of Apple Watch

i just want to know what could these white botches on the back of my watch on the back sides of the watch could be. It’s an Apple Watch series 5 with a ceramic space gray case. Could it be scratches? Could it be cleaned or not?

Hey there AnthonyD99,

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. I understand you have some spots on the bottom of your Apple Watch. I’ll be happy to help with this.

You can try to clean these spots from your Apple Watch. Go through the following link for steps on how to clean your watch:

How to clean your Apple Watch

If these won’t go away with those steps, it may be from a scratch but it’s hard to tell. If you’d like it further inspected, you can reach out to Apple Support at the following link to have it inspected at an Apple Store or Authorized Service Provider. You can use this link to reach out to them:

Take care.
