I have family sharing on my phone and I have had my brother on it for years now. I tried to add my dad and it’s showing as though he’s on the plan and everything is good but when he clicks onto Apple Music it wants him to subscribe to his own plan. What am I missing. It was so simple when I did it a couple years ago with my brother.

No problem! Are you sure your brother is not paying for Apple Music? It’s actually required that you have Apple Music enabled in Settings > [your name] > Family Sharing Apple Music for it to share. Also whomever is sharing Apple Music has to pay the $14.99 monthly family plan.
Any other troubleshooting? These are all very obvious statements and are not helpful. My brother is not paying for Apple Music. He is on my family sharing plan. Which I’ve already stated. I’m not concerned about what my brother has I’m trying to find out why my dad is showing as a member on my family sharing yet is unable to use Apple Music. It keeps asking him to buy his own plan when he tries to access Apple Music.
He is signed into the only Apple ID he has and my purchases shouldn’t need to be on, my brother doesn’t have an issue with the sharing....
