Volume control

Can the volume control for media, notifications and ringtones be separated? I found it a bit annoying when I lower the media volume and the ringtone volume would also become low. Because of that I have to manually rest the volume to high back.

Hi Ctshimah,

Thanks for reaching out here in the Apple Support Communities. I understand that the volume control on your iPhone 8 Plus is also affecting your ringer and alerts.

I'm glad to help with this.

It sounds like you may have enabled the Change with Buttons feature in Settings > Sounds & Haptics.

Go to Settings > Sounds & Haptics > And look in the Ringer and Alerts section. Set the volume to a level you want, and then make sure that Change with Buttons is disabled (gray).

This explains more: Adjust the volume on iPhone

Best Regards.
