phone has no audio when making calls, but works fine otherwise

my iPhone 7 works perfectly, except when I make calls the speaker button is faded out and I can hear no audio. It works to call on my headphones though, so I am confused.

The speaker is damaged. The iPhone needs to be repaired.

iPhone doesn’t produce sound, but only when calling Since recently, my iPhone has stopped making any sound when in a call. It makes sound completely normally in any other situation - I can listen to voicemails too. When I’m in the call menu, the ‘audio’ button is greyed out.
