what if I don't know the airplay code
I'm trying to use airplay to connect my phone to a TV nearby. It keeps asking for some onscreen code, but I don't see a code

The code should appear on your TV when you attempt to AirPlay a device. If not, then you can access (or change) your AirPlay password on Apple TV in Settings > AirPlay.
