If you need to two-factor (2FA) authenticate - and you don’t have a second device, you ought to have configured a secondary authentication method for your AppleID - such as a trusted landline telephone - or other mobile phone to which you can receive an SMS authentication code.

If you haven’t already done so, login to your AppleID using a web-browser, then modify your security settings to include alternative authentication methods. Once done, you can receive 2FA using other means.
