How are you backing this up? Use your computer, rather than iCloud. Using your computer, everything is hardwired.

Troubleshooting Backups:

• If your iTunes Backup Couldn‘t be Completed or you can‘t Restore from a Backup
• If iCloud Backup Couldn’t be Completed or you can’t Restore

You can restart the phone and then do the backup overnight.
