I can't disable "Wi-Fi Assist" on my iPhone 7 (and "Use Parental Controls" doesn't work)

My Wi-Fi Assist is stuck in the "on" position and I want to turn it off.

I followed the instructions on this link...

https://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT201304#allow-changes

to the letter, and the "Wi-Fi Assist" sliding button is still grayed (greened) out.

Oh, help!

Hi aimeejust,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities! I see you're having an issue with disabling the Wi-Fi Assist on your iPhone, and I'd like to do what I can to help out.

You mentioned that parental controls isn't working. If parental controls is turned on at Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions and you don't know the passcode to turn it off, check with the person who set that up.

If your iPhone was supplied by work or school, you may have a supervised device. Check with your IT or school administrator for help. Get started with a supervised iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Take care!
