Latest iTunes (12.10.3.1) and iOS 13.3.1 on iPhone SE on a windows 10 computer, and the option to backup manually, to the cloud or "this computer" is greyed out.
Also, when iTunes is showing my phone's contents, the bar at the bottom of the page shows one long yellow "other" instead of a separate percentage for photos, music, apps etc.
Any clues why?

I don't know how I can thank you enough. I tried synching on both my laptop and desktop. They both failed. At this point I don't know how to exclude the Apple files from the ransomware folder, but I'll figure that out even if I need help from Malwarebytes.
Turning off the ransomware mode temporarily solved the problem.

No I dont think so. I’m just using Windows Defender. It’s interesting because the playlist on my phone shows all 6000+ items, but when I sync the phone to the laptop it only shows 6 items. So I’m super confused. Very grateful for your help

A user on another forum reported the same issue and discovered it was caused by Malwarebytes!
select exclude from detection as ransomware only,,.
