Is there a way to turn off iMessage on a Gen7 iPad?

Our MDM rules do not allow users to sign into iCloud/iTunes etc and it looks like iMessage can't be turned off, there is no toggle. I would like to know if iMessage can be turned off so it is not prompting users to enter an Apple ID? Also, this is for the Gen7 iPad 10.2 model, Apple doesn't have it as a choice on this site.

Right now on this iPad, even though I had iMessage turned off, when I tap the Messages blob, I can do nothing because all it offers is the window to give my iCloud username and password to turn iMessage back on. PLEASE give us instructions to turn off iMessage on all our computers and devices so we can use the vastly more popular MSM text.

ipad imessage since the update I am having a hard time signing in on ipad imessage.

Why can I not turn off IMessage My phone will not allow me to turn off iMessage, the toggle is greyed over, as is my info at the very top of the settings menu - where you go for Apple ID, iCloud, media, and purchases. How do I fix this?

If the toggle for iMessage is not there, speak to whomever admins your company MDM.

Does your company use Apple Business Chat (new in iOS and iPadOS 13)?
