imessage on two devices

Hi, If i am running iMessage on two of my iPhones (same messages come through to both phones) and want to delete some messages off one of the phones, does it automatically delete the messages off the other phone at the same time or do the messages remain on the other phone. I guess what i am asking is does deleting messages on one phone sync with the other phone and delete. Thanks for any help.
