I bought the new 16 inch MBP 1 month ago. Since the left shift key on the keyboard has stopped working. This is frustrating because I spent 3K on this computer and have had it for 30 days. Does anyone know how to fix this issue? If not, does anyone know how to go about returning this computer?

Too late for return, but Apple Genius Bar is ready to help you with a hardware repair.
You should have a very good backup (I would have a clone that can actively clone self back onto a new system). A bad keyboard suggests logic board issues that might warrant a simple swap-out for a new MBP.
