how to edit phone number in Medical ID part of Health app

My main Medical ID contact person's phone number has changed, and even though I've changed it in Contacts, Medical ID is not registering the change. Now what, please?

iPhone 6, iOS 11

I believe that you will have to remove that contact, then add them back. You will have to go into your Medical ID and edit it. Settings>Health>Medical ID>Edit. Make your edits, then tap Done when complete.

It turns out that since Apple doesn't allow one to move names and since the one I wanted to be at the top was the one that needed to be edited, I had to delete all of them and start the list from scratch, but at least her number is now correct.

I realize that you cannot move them, but the issue is for automatic notifications, the iPhone will notify all of the listed contacts, not just the first one. However, I see that if an individual or emergency responder was to look at the list, I understand they would try the top one first. Glad you got it the way that you want.

You're welcome. It actually doesn't call, it texts. That is in case of the SOS call to emergency personnel, and it will text and share your location. Emergency personnel can use the screen to call if necessary.
