Renaming or re-ordering settings of titles created in Motion?

When I create my own titles Motion, I publish so many settings that the inspector in FCPX can get crowded and it's sometimes hard to remember which slider does what, which drop zone corresponds to what etc...

Is there a way to rename those settings. Or at least to separate them into groups?

Additionally, is there a way to change the order published settings are displayed in the FCPX? Or are they forever shown in the order they were published in Motion.

Thanks

Sorry about my terseness. Glad to see that you figured it out.

I was away from my mac and unable to check the details.

Also: in that same pane, you can at least reorder the parameters just by dragging them up or down. I don't see a way to create separators for a more noticeable grouping, but you can at least put them in an order that suits the way the template is to be used.

Hi nichk92

I sounds like you got the advice you needed.

I'll contribute some additional information that should be useful for you if you are making your own title templates. If you aren't using fxplug to create your own custom UI, you can use this to help orginanise your published parameters even more.

Like you see in the image, you can use 'pop-up' widgets to make section dividers that you can use to group common sets of parameters.

To do this, add a rig, then add a pop-up widget. The widget will have 3 values by default, so delete 2 of them using the +/- function.

Use the widget name to create the section title information. You can add special characters from the your systems 'emoji & symbols' index.

You can't save the rig to your library, but you can drag a widget to your library to easily access later. You'll just need to add a new rig to the next project so that you can drag the widget from the library to the rig.

I'll add a link here to the project file.

If you aren't sure about the steps, let me know and I'll make a quick screen recording for you.
