Apple Pay doesnt’t work on my new iPhone 11

I have a strange problem: I have a 2 week old iPhone 11 and added my card to the wallet. Bank confirms it is activated but when I hold the phone next to the reader nothing happens. My Apple Watch does work tho. I ordered food on my iPhone and using Apple Pay this way was no problem.

I’ve tried hard reset, removing and adding the card (turned phone off and on after delete), removed the bumpercase but nothing seems to help.

is my nfc chip broken or does somebody have a solution for this?
