Nord VPN subscription

I attempted to purchase a one year subscription to Nord VPN this morning but for some reason my card was declined and assumed that was end of that attempt. I went to the Nord site and got a much better deal directly from them, downloaded the app and opened the program to discover that it showed my original purchase from the iTunes store as being in effect. I tried to cancel it through the store and obtain a refund but it said I'm not eligible for one. Do I now have two subscriptions and how do I get rid of the one I purchased from iTunes? Is there any way to actually talk to a human about this or at the very least chat with one? I'm never purchasing anything through the iTunes store again but I'd really like to know if there's anyway to cancel this subscription and get my money back.
