Dim not supported

My phone says it’s a t-mobile carrier but when I put my sim inside the phone it says “sim not supported”, what can I do to fix this issue? Or what am I doing wrong?

Your iPhone is carrier locked, apparently not to T-Mobile. Call AppleCare and give them the model and serial number of your iPhone and tell them you just want to know which carrier your iPhone is locked to. Then contact that carrier and ask them what their unlock policy is and if you qualify.
