Hello njethro6,

Thanks for the update. In this case I would recommend having the iPhone inspected by a technician. That way you can show them what you’re experiencing, and they can take a closer look at the issue at hand. The link below will help you locate a service center near you.

Hello njethro6,

From what I understand you noticed a blue light appearing on the iPhone, which can only been seen using another iPhone camera? Is that right? If so, I’ll be happy to help.

Is this happening using the default Camera app, or are you seeing this using a third-party app?

Does this seem to appear under different lighting conditions and camera modes?

Take a look at the steps listed here: If the camera or flash on your iPhone isn't working

Let me know if you continue to run into issues.

Cheers!

Many digital cameras see a little further into the ultraviolet and infrared than the human eye. This is apparently the case with the Android phone and the ultraviolet light (invisible to most humans) appears blue on the display. The same thing occurs with photographic film. The response from Lawrence Finch sounds right, but I thought that you might like a little more information about the physics. By the way, you get a lot more ultraviolet light when you step out into daylight, so don't worry about health problems.

It is nothing compared to the intense UV that you are continuously exposed to from the Sun whenever you are outdoors during the day. Or the UV component of virtually all indoor lighting. If you don’t want to be exposed to UV you need to live in a cave with no light sources, in pitch blackness.
