Hourly Tracking Spreadsheet

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to set up an hourly tracking spreadsheet?

I am trying to keep track of each time I have worked a total of eight hours on Saturdays.

I've got a date column, then an hours worked column. I'd like to keep a running total of the hours worked, then when that value reaches eight, have the remainder carry forward to the following Saturday.

Thank you!

Hi Andy,

Does this fit the bill?

Formulas:

Column A: A2 is entered data.

A3: =A2+7

Filled down to end of table.

Column B:

Entered data—the Number of hours worked on each listed day. Part-hours should be recorded as decimal vlues.

Column C:

C1: Set to NOT wrap text. Full label for the two columns is entered in this cell. Press shift-return after "total", and put extra spaces between Days and Hours to align the text as shown.

C2: QUOTIENT(SUM(B$2:B2),8)

Fill down to end of table.

Column D:

D1 is left empty to allow text from C1 to flow into this space.

D2: MOD(SUM(B$2:B2),8)

Fill down to end of table.

Column E:

E2: IF(C2>MAX(C$1:C1),1,"")

Fill down to end of table.

Regards,

Barry
