"invalid serial number" message

I get "invalid serial number" when trying to start getting help from Apple Support. I can't get support unless the serial number is accepted. It is definitely the correct serial number

Try copy & pasting the serial number from "About this Mac" found by clicking the Apple menu. You may be mixing up zeroes and "ohs", "B" and "8", "S" and "5", etc.
