How to manually move a photo into Panorama "Media Type" in iPhone

Trying to make my iPhone XS Max recognize a photo as a panorama and put it into the Panorama folder in "Media Types." I cropped a photo to make it appear and function as a panorama, but it doesn't seem to be recognized as such by the phone, and there doesn't seem to be a way to manually put it in there. One answer in a similar thread said the aspect ratio of the photo has to be wider than the standard photos and then would be recognized and classified as a panorama, but this is obviously not correct. Any ideas would be appreciated!

iPhone XS Max, iOS 13

How did you crop the photo?

I just tested again, and when I cropped a photo to a very extreme aspect ratio and synced it to my iPhone 11 Pro Max (iOS 13) with iCloud Photos, the cropped photo appeared instantly in the Panoramic album, sorted by the capture date.

But the aspect ratio needs to be very extreme. My cropped photo has a pixel size of 3892 x 970, a ratio of 4 to 1.

I am also seeing photos with an aspect ratio of 2.8 to 1 in the Panoramic album.

But start testing with photos with a ratio of 4 to 1. Does it work?

Here is a screenshot of the cropped photo taken on my Mac.

I did not do the cropping on my iPhone, because I cannot see the dimensions there. The cropped photo has been synced to the iPhone.
