How to clear Next Up in Music on iPad Air 3rd gen?

Just bought a new iPad Air 3rd gen and I do not see a way to clear the Next Up list in iTunes/Music. The only “Clear” I can see is to clear history of songs I’ve already played on this unit. What I want to be able to clear is the list of songs the app automatically sets up to play after my current selection.

iPad Air, iOS 13

Hello, slowmover!

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities! I understand you would like to know how you can remove music from Up Next in the Music app on your iPad.

You can edit the Up Next queue by removing songs, changing the order, and when you should see the option to keep or clear the Up Next queue. Check out the information below from this article: Add music to your queue to play next.

"Manage your Up Next queue

Tap the song that's playing at the bottom of your screen to open Now Playing, then tap Up Next (this is the icon in the bottom right corner of the screen). From here, you can:

    • Reorder your queue: Press  next to a song, then drag it up or down.
    • Remove a song: Swipe left over it, then tap Remove.
    • See your listening history: Scroll up to History to see music that you've listened to.

If you play a new album or playlist, you'll see the option to keep or clear your Up Next queue."

You'll find the steps for your iPad or any iOS device, as well as how to do this if you use iTunes on a PC, or Music on a Mac.

Cheers!
