Are you using a genuine Apple charger and cable - or something else?

This message generally appears if a non-Apple accessory, or unsupported peripheral device, is connected to the iPad/iPhone.

If you are using a genuine charger and cable, try a forced-restart of your device - as this often resolves unexpected issues.

If still unsuccessful, substitute your charger and cable for known good kit - one item at a time and then together - in an attempt to eliminate individual components.

I hope you find this to be helpful is resolving your issue.
