Two iMacs for multiple display?

Can I connect two iMacs together to use for multiple display? These iMacs are also of different generations.

iMac Line (2012 and Later)

Depends on which ones.

Likely not, however use the link provided. In most cases if you need an external display for a Mac (or PC) simply buy one as it is much more simple. Yes it will cost you a few dollars but the expense is well worth it, iMacs are designed to be computers and not designed to be an external display for another device.
