Apple details how to remove your phone number from iMessage and FaceTime here:

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201349

You can also manage your Apple ID here: (https://appleid.apple.com/account/manage) and remove your phone number from this website as well. Your phone number should show up along with your new number under the section titled "REACHABLE AT" where you can choose to delete it.
