Internet Recover of OS X Lion - can’t download the additional components needed to install Mac OS X

Please try disabling the WiFi on your mac, in Recovery the WiFi symbol is in the top right hand symbol of the menubar screen.

I think if the WiFi is enabled it resets the date back to today and that is why you are getting the error again.

Connect mac to your router via ethernet cable, boot to Recovery HD, disable WiFi, open Terminal,

reset date as before, try to reinstall Mac OS X Lion.

If that doesn't work then I am all out for now.

So now that the date has changed to 2018 and you try to reinstall Mac OS X El Capitan

do you still get the error 'can't download the additional components'.

Is your mac connected to your router via ethernet rather than WiFi.

So when you enter the date in Terminal and then press Return

Does the date change to April 1st 2018 22:00hrs.

J'ai le même problème et c'est infernal.

Pour ma part, la date de s'affiche même pas dans la barre latérale en haut de l'écran...

Il faut trouver une solution, j'ai contacté le support ce matin, ils me disent d'emmener le mac en réparation...

When you tried to change the date in Terminal what happened, did the date change,

what error message did you get. Any further information would be great.

What instructions did you use to change the date.
