What password is needed for this message "enter the password you use to unlock imac"

I have tried my Apple ID password and the password I use to log onto Catalina on my iMac but it doesn't accept either.

It should be the admin password you use to unlock or sign into the computer. If it's not taking it then perhaps you're entering it wrong? Try going into System Preferences, Users and Groups and unlock the lock on the bottom left corner. If your password works there, then select the Forgot Password? option you see in the bottom left corner of the image you provided. It sounds like a keychain related issue and all it will do is reset the information stored in there ie passwords, credit card info.
