2017 MacBook Pro Sporadic Audio Loss

I have a 2017 MacBook Pro, no Touch Bar, that I purchased in the fall of 2018. Often, when trying to listen to ANY audio, be it from a video in Safari or from Apple Music, I have to restart my computer to get sound to work. I have OS Catalina 10.15.3. There does not seem to be anything that triggers it, and the computer is not very old for this to be a problem. Anybody else experiencing this issue? What is the best course of action since I am out of warranty?
