Old Music Gone

I just recently logged into my account to re-download all my playlists to my old ipod and all my previous music (that I manually put in from CD's back in the day) is completely gone. Including my playlists. All my music that I can no longer get back is completely gone....Can I fix this? The only thing I am able to pull up and download is any music I had purchased from iTunes over the years.

A Few Thoughts on these Items:

I. Associate Both to the Same Apple ID:

Are you certain you are using your iPod with the same Apple Account as your Windows PC? Double-check with the Settings/Preferences. Look at the Apple ID that your iPod is associated with. Is it there any difference between the two? Log out of the Apple ID on both devices. Perhaps you have changed your eMail address and password, since then.

II. Use All Apple Brand:

I would also try using and associating this iPod through use of an Apple Device, as compatibility may be getting in the way here. Also, update iTunes on both devices, and, perhaps, use of another cable (of Apple Brand for assurance of connectivity) to associate this device.

III. Other Locations of Storage:

Where else would these have been stored? On an iTunes Library? On the "old" iPod ? On an old ZIP Drive?

IV. Unhide Purchased Purchases:

Perhaps these items haves become a hidden purchases? To see if that is the case, unhide them.

V. Non-Recoverable:

If they are gone, they are gone. That's Just the Way it Is :(
